"If the EP could be summed up in one sentence it would be this: it is, about life as it is. It starts with stories we don’t fully believe passes through indifference, homesickness and the road and ends on a shore where letting go becomes possible. Magnolia Shade speak about all of it with warmth and sincerity. Nordicana may never become a fashionable label on festival posters. But it has something that cannot be faked: it sounds real."

“A self-fulfilling prophecy set to a melancholic melody and a brisk country-rock push is a smarter hook than most debut singles manage (…) Magnolia Shade have also been featured by Americana Highways and picked up airplay on Women of Substance Radio, a decent foothold for a band singing about Highway One from across an ocean.”
